Stop skiing, start running

Mezzalama. World Cup. Pierra Menta. World Championships.

An incredible season just ended. It was without doubt the most intense and exciting winter of my life. Not only does the most good in terms of results but also the most rewarding on a personal level, within me.
World Championships: The biggest competition, maximum cuff pressure, maximum level, the most important goal, the most desired. It was only a dream. A week dream. Only tears of emotion in the Venetian snow.

Pierra Menta: The race of races. The mountain of the mountains. After 2 times win with Florent Troillet, even more emotion on the issue fought over, won by a sigh, the last day, to work hard for weeks before. Thanks Didier for this race, to give the best of yourself and share this dream with me.

World Cup: The regularity, an unexpected bonus, with hard days, as Pelvoux or Gavarnie, with falls, with pain, good days as Marmotta, good snow, rain, wind, sun, heat, cold ...

Mezzalama: pure emotion. 100%. 200%. One of the big 3. A team dream, a week to share experiences with the team. 3 friends in Cervinia, 3 brothers in Gresoney. Wind, cold, very cold. Fight, fight a lot. A sigh in the last downhill, a tearful hug at the finish. Thank you, thank you very much William and Didier to give more than what was possible.

After this season unbeatable seafront there is no time to assimilate, to enjoy and relax. I'm in Australia, to start running, start a summer that looks very interesting, with many races and many journeys to enjoy. For now, 100km in the Blue Mountains with an impressive level, among the favorites, Seb Chaigneau, François d'Haene, Ryan Sandes ...
